- Anonymized server logs including IP addresses and request metadata including, but not limited to, endpoint, method and timestamp.
- Anonymized usage statistics, including request country origin, actions performed and browser and device characteristics.
- Anonymized bug and crash reports, including browser and device characteristics, actions performed and stack trace data.
- Data you provide to us, such as chat messages with Bitesized AI, news article likes and bookmarks, email address and plan information.
How We Use Information
Personalization
We use the information we collect to personalize your experience with our app. For example, we may use your news article likes and bookmarks to recommend similar articles that you may be interested in.
Communication
We may use your email address to communicate with you about our app and services, such as to inform you of new features or updates.

We may use your information to comply with legal obligations, such as responding to lawful requests from law enforcement or government agencies.

Data Storage Location
Bitesized is based in Canada but hosts data in the EU. We comply with all applicable data protection laws, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Sharing of Information
Bitesized does not sell, rent or lease user information to third-parties. However, we may provide some user information to service providers in order to facilitate the operation of our services.
Service Providers
We may share your information with third-party service providers who help us provide and improve our app and services. We current use the following third-party service providers:

- Hetzner
- OpenAI
- Kagi
- Stripe
Business Transfers
We may share your information in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets.
Your Choices
You may opt out of all data collection and storage by deleting your Bitesized account within the app Settings panel.
Children's Privacy
Bitesized does not knowingly collect or process the information of users under the age of 13 years old. Please contact support immediately at privacy@bitesized.news if you believe we have collected information from a child under the age of 13.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes to this policy by posting a notice on our website or within our app
